Alpico Plaza Hotel

There is no positive point for property.

Totally bad.The property is old.Some mag cups were dirty and we could see lipstick that former visiters used.

Very convenient location just 5 min from Matsumoto Station; also near several eateries and a 7-11. If interested, ask the reception about the complimentary shuttle bus to use the onsen for free at another hotel under the same company, available on a first come first serve basis (2 timings in the evening; only about 1 hour between drop off at the hotel and pick up for the return trip, though, so might be more rushed than you like. Still, it's free, so no complaints).

Beds were too soft for me, but this is a personal preference as I like firmer mattresses.

Location is very good & bed is comfy. Staff are very helpful & attentive.

Very good shower. Plenty of space. Has a sit down mirror outside bathroom to do makeup etc.

Pillows hard and flat. More pillow options would be good. No casting on TV.

Another pillow wouldn't hurt, but that's nothing to complain about

The hotel location is right at the center of station and convenience stores family mart is just a 2 minute walk, 711 is 5 minute walk, restaurants and izakayas are within walking distance as well. We liked that they have free onsen use at another hotel and transportation is provided. We had a welcome drink stub that can be used in the cafe. Friendly and accommodating staff.

We were quite a big group and had to get 4 separate rooms as there's no family room available anymore. The rooms that we got are a bit smaller than expected. The hotel is a bit outdated and could use a renovation and update.

Location

Heater made the air in the room very dry and there was no humidifier.

Bed is so soft and comfortable, hotel is so closed the main station. Breakfast is so varieties.

It’s at a good location.

Staff was a bit unfriendly with respect to kids. Sound offensive as kids were making noise

Location of the hotel is right across Matsumoto train station and next to bus terminal. Provided a lot of amenities at lobby area, decent breakfast spread and have a strong wifi connection

The previous guest didn't turn off the alarm clock setting so on the next day it alarmed very early in the morning so I couldn't sleep after that.

Close to Station & food options.Good walk to Castle..Good access via station to Kiso Valley etc. Staff were lovely & very helpful, good English also.Room dated but clean, older style bathroom & fittings.

Room was very dated, needs to be refurbished..Tired beds & bathroom.

Its very near the matsumoto station, the bus terminal is literally beside the hotel, and you have alpico plaza beside it and a family mart for your late night snacking. It also have ice maker machine!

Only the high cost of breakfast, which could explain so many people piling up dishes of food on their tables!

Very friendly and helpful staff, who gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was really comfortable and breakfast tasty. Would recommend!

Great location, very close to bus terminal, train station, restaurants and convenient stores.

The hotel is a bit old even though it's clean and quite comfy. But I don't think it's value for money.

Our second stay here. Very pleased with everything. Staff are super helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. Really close to the station. Good price. They will keep your bags before you check in. Although we’d prefer an onsen in the hotel, there’s a bus to take you to a lovely onsen hotel about 20mins away. It’s quite a long trip but a beautiful place with an outdoor onsen. A couple of other nice touches such as a welcome drink when you arrive and some nice sachets of moisturiser etc. we were unable to stay some nights as it was booked out otherwise it’d be our preferred accommodation in Matsumoto.

Everything was good

Comfortable room, bed was wide enough. Lovely staff. Great location across from the station and the bus station. We could access an onsen in a hotel also owned by Alpico and went one night. Very nice.

The hotel is in a quiet location not in the centre of town. There are convenience stores and supermarkets a short walk away. Sightseeing Red line stop is a short walk away.The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean. The room was quiet. There was a water filter and microwave downstairs and a washing machine/ laundry on the lower floor. The breakfast was limited in options and not quite to our taste. We would have given this hotel a higher score for comfort had it not been for the the hard uncomfortable pillows. It is a good hotel for a stay in this area. The hotel shuttle to the bus station was very welcome on our exit.

The pillows could be replaced by comfortable ones. The breakfast could have have more options.
